We are partnering with a well-established and ambitious group with a strong and growing presence across Ireland, the UK, and Europe. Operating across demanding and high-value sectors, the business has built its reputation on an ability to deliver efficiently and effectively, wherever a project demands.

As the business continues to expand its European footprint, it is now looking to appoint a Business Development Manager to lead its commercial growth across the continent.

The Role
This is a pivotal appointment. The successful candidate will take ownership of European business development activity, identifying and securing new client relationships while deepening existing ones. You will work closely with the senior leadership team to position the business as the go-to partner for major construction projects across Europe.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Developing and executing a commercial strategy to grow the business's client base across European markets
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across large-scale commercial construction projects
  • Building and maintaining senior-level relationships with key decision-makers
  • Working collaboratively with internal operations to ensure that client commitments are delivered reliably and to the highest standard
  • Providing market intelligence and commercial insight to inform the wider business strategy

The Person

The right candidate will be a commercially driven, relationship-focused professional who understands the construction sector and knows how to open doors in new territories. They will be as comfortable navigating a boardroom conversation as they are building trust with a site-based project manager, and they will bring a genuine hunger to grow a business that already has a strong foundation to build from.

We are looking for someone who brings:
  • A proven track record in business development or sales within construction or related sectors
  • Experience operating across European markets, with the cultural awareness and interpersonal skills to build credibility quickly in new regions
  • Strong commercial instincts, with the ability to identify opportunity, qualify prospects, and close deals
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills and a network that opens conversations at the right level
  • The self-motivation and resilience to work independently while remaining closely aligned with a supportive leadership team
