Amplifi Talent are partnering with Brady Group to appoint a Commercial Manager as the firm continues to expand its advisory capability across complex engineering and infrastructure programmes.

This appointment comes at a pivotal stage in the company’s growth. Increasing client demand across sectors including energy, infrastructure and emerging technologies is driving the need to further strengthen the commercial function with individuals capable of operating across both project delivery and dispute environments.

The successful candidate will join a high-performing consultancy team, working across technically complex, high-value programmes where commercial insight, contractual rigour and analytical capability are critical to project success.

This role offers a distinctive combination of traditional commercial management exposure alongside specialist experience in disputes and quantum support, providing a unique platform for long-term career development.

The Role

This is a blended commercial role, combining hands-on project delivery with exposure to claims and dispute processes.

You will take responsibility for commercial management across complex engineering programmes, supporting cost control, contract administration and financial governance, while also contributing to the development of claims and dispute positions as projects evolve.

Working closely with senior commercial leaders and quantum specialists, you will be involved in analysing project data, reviewing contractual positions, and helping to shape structured commercial narratives that underpin formal dispute processes.

Over time, the role will provide increasing exposure to adjudication, mediation and arbitration environments, offering a route into specialist commercial advisory work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support commercial management across complex engineering and infrastructure projects
  • Manage valuations, variations, forecasting and final accounts across major work packages
  • Administer contracts (NEC, FIDIC, JCT and bespoke forms), ensuring compliance with contractual processes
  • Support subcontract procurement, negotiation and ongoing commercial administration
  • Maintain robust cost reporting, cashflow forecasting and change control processes
  • Provide commercial insight to project and delivery teams

Alongside core delivery responsibilities, you will also:

  • Assist in the preparation and assessment of claims, including entitlement and quantum considerations
  • Support the development of structured commercial narratives for dispute processes
  • Analyse project records, cost data and programme information to support claims and dispute positions
  • Work alongside senior specialists on formal dispute proceedings, including adjudication and arbitration

Preferred Candidate Background

This role will suit a commercially minded professional with a strong grounding in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management, who is looking to broaden their exposure into advisory and dispute-related work.

You are likely to be operating within a contractor or consultancy environment, with experience of managing commercial aspects of projects, and are now seeking a role that offers greater variety, complexity and long-term career development.

Previous exposure to claims, disputes or advisory environments would be advantageous, but is not essential. More important is an interest in developing capability in this area over time.

Candidates working toward professional accreditation (RICS, CIOB or similar) will be well aligned with the environment.
