We are delighted to be supporting a highly successful, fast-growing technology business headquartered in Edinburgh with the appointment of an Assistant Accountant
on a 6-month fixed term contract.
Due to increased workload, this newly created role represents an excellent opportunity for a motivated finance professional to join a collaborative, forward-thinking team.
The Opportunity
This position will suit an individual who is hands-on and enjoys working across a variety of finance tasks. The successful candidate will also be confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities;
- Supporting the month-end process, including preparation of journals and reconciliations
- Assisting with accounts payable and receivable functions
- Helping to produce management information and financial reporting packs
- Business partnering with stakeholders across the business, providing insight and analysis
- Liaising with outsourced providers for payroll and other finance functions
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and supporting implementation of new ways of working
- Ad hoc financial analysis and project support as required
About You
- Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar finance role
- Strong technical and organisational skills, with good attention to detail
- A proactive, hands-on approach, with the ability to adapt in a fast-moving environment
- Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to work across different levels of the business
- Part-qualified or actively studying towards a professional accountancy qualification (desirable but not essential)
