We are partnering with a well-established and fast-growing project delivery business operating across the UK&I and Europe. With a strong reputation built over the past decade, the business works with some of the world's leading companies delivering complex, high-value projects across a range of sectors.The company is now seeking an Operations Director to take day-to-day ownership and to drive the business forward with support from an experienced management team.
The Role
- The Operations Director will assume full responsibility for providing the operational structure, leadership, and commercial oversight needed to support continued growth across multiple geographies.Responsibilities will include:Leading and developing the senior management team across all functions
- Driving operational efficiency, standardisation, and scalability across multi-site operations
- Overseeing project delivery performance across a portfolio of concurrent programmes
- Managing key external relationships at a senior level
- Identifying and implementing the process improvements needed to support the next phase of growth
- Owning the commercial and financial performance of the business, with full P&L accountability
The Person
The successful candidate will be a senior operational leader with the confidence, credibility, and commercial acumen to run a complex, fast-moving services business. They will be energised by the autonomy this role offers and will understand instinctively how to operate within an entrepreneurial environment where relationships and results carry equal weight.
We are looking for someone who brings:
- Senior operational leadership experience in project-delivery environments
- A track record of leading multi-disciplinary teams across multiple locations or jurisdictions
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience owning P&L performance
- The interpersonal skills to build trust, motivate a team, and manage demanding client relationships
- Experience of scaling operations and building repeatable processes in a growing business
- A hands-on, solutions-focused approach, someone who leads from the front
Experience in a business where deploying, managing, and utilising a mobile workforce is central to operations would be a distinct advantage, though candidates with relevant operational leadership experience from related sectors are also invited to apply.
