Private Client Associate – 4+ PQE
Are you an experienced Private Client solicitor looking to take the next step in your career? We’re working with a highly regarded legal team, based in Edinburgh seeking to expand their Private Client department with the addition of a talented Associate Solicitor.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established team known for delivering expert advice across a broad spectrum of private client matters. The role offers exposure to high-quality work and the chance to deepen your expertise in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities:
You’ll be advising on a wide range of private client services, including:
- Drafting Wills and Powers of Attorney
- Executry administration, including complex tax-paying estates
- Tax planning with a focus on Inheritance Tax (IHT), Agricultural Property Relief (APR), and Business Property Relief (BPR)
- Trust creation and management, including technical trust law and asset protection
- Advising on contentious executries and trust matters
- Guardianships and related legal frameworks
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 4 years’ PQE in Private Client law (other levels of experience will be considered)
- Strong technical knowledge and the ability to manage a varied caseload independently
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to support complex transactions with the wider team
- Commercial awareness and a track record of contributing to business development and marketing initiatives
- A proactive approach to client service and team development
