Candidate Profile
The scheduling of the install team calendar and keeping the fitters up to date with any changes. Before this individual started in the company the management of this would have been down to the managing director.. This is now recorded on an excel document which everyone has access to view so communication is there for all departments.
Liaison with the fitters daily for feedback on any jobs and ensure customers are happy.
Ordering and tracking stock, negotiating purchase prices and setting prices.
Keeping up a good relationship with suppliers and carrying out market research ensuring the company remains competitive.
Managing all subcontracted work both in-bound and out-bound. Keeping in constant contact with all subcontractors until the project is finished.
Arranging collections and deliveries worldwide.
Tracking orders in/outbound to ensure customer satisfaction.
Currently deals with international distributors and suppliers while maintaining the relationship with them and dealing with quotes, orders (taking and placing), pricing exercises etc. accounts
Processing pro-formas and invoices for customers and assigning incoming payments for these. Running weekly aged debtors reports and chasing up payments for these when they are not received. Processing purchase invoices and assigning outgoing payments for these. Keeping the managing director up to date with any outstanding amounts that need to be paid. There was no real process but this individual has implemented an effective process which keeps everything up to date and organised.
Reconciles the bank with sage for the accountant for the quarterly VAT return. This was something that was added to the current role after starting as this individual has a keen eye for detail and finding discrepancies
Skills & Expertise
Skilled in order processing, payment tracking, complex contractual quoting and maintaining internal systems in line with company standards.
Strong experience with subcontractors.
