Candidate Profile

Day to day management of the finance function, reporting to Finance Manager & Managing Director
Main project upon joining was migrating finances from to Xero for greater functionality and progressing the company to mostly digital processes – completed successfully in 3 months.
Enacting change in management teams – credit card expense software rolled out to all card holders.
Linking various company departments together with shared information - software integrations between finance team, buyers & quantity surveyors
Monthly accounts reporting to management – P&L, BS, Cashflow, Intercompany balances.
Weekly cash flow management, organising supplier payment runs, managing credit terms to prioritise cash flow.
Project budget reporting on ad hoc basis when requested from project managers.
Specific KPI reporting on labour costs was a focus of the business to manage workshop/site labourers to maximise project profitability.
Identifying areas of improvement for finance management – analysing costs of long-term external plant hire vs purchasing equipment

Skills & Expertise

Expert in cloud accounting packages (Xero)
Strong excel skills (VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, POVOTs)
Strong technical knowledge of IFRS/GAAP
Experience of working with senior stakeholders
Reporting for cross border group companies
Team Management experience
