Candidate Profile
High calibre Chartered Accountant (11-yrs PQE) who has led the finance functions of multiple high-growth SME’s, including a London based, PE backed, £100M t/o, tech business.
Previously held the position of Group Financial Controller of a listed global consultancy firm where they successfully completed a number of acquisitions and led a multi-location finance team
This candidate has developed deep experience across commercial accounting, FP&A, financial reporting (FRS 102, IFRS & UK GAAP), internal controls, people leadership, and managing key stakeholder relationships.
They have presented to the Board, prepared detailed monthly packs, and acted as a strategic financial partner to support key decision-making in fast paced working environments.
Skills & Expertise
⚪ Significant experience of leading and delivering complex projects including fund-raising, debt financing and acquisitions / integrations.
⚪ Led on wide-scale business transformation, finance function outsourcing to Europe, and implementing finance systems.
⚪ Managed the finance function of a tech firm that trebled in size during their time in the role – playing a key role in transactions, business transformation initiatives, systems, and overall ensuring the finance function was fit for purpose.
⚪ Worked closely with PE funds, VC’s, and in listed company environment – so very comfortable with the demands and requirements of working for a funded business.
⚪ Outsourced finance teams to European locations as well as integrating newly acquired companies.
⚪ Strong technically, having trained in audit with a global firm and worked for listed companies.

This individual has relocated to Scotland and lives in the Central Belt, so is open to multiple locations or can work remotely if required.
