Amplifi Talent are partnered with a fast-growing SME in the B2B sector. With ambitious growth plans across Europe, this business is seeking an experienced fractional CFO to provide strategic financial leadership, supporting its expansion and laying the foundations for future market consolidation.
The role
As the fractional CFO, you will work closely with the CEO, ensuring the financial health of the business while driving profitability and sustainable growth. Your responsibilities will span financial strategy, risk management, operational finance, and commercial decision-making. Additionally, you will lead the enhancement of financial reporting standards to align with the company’s expanding presence in Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Strategy & Growth: Develop and implement financial strategies to support expansion across Europe, with a long-term view on market consolidation.
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling to inform strategic decisions.
- Cash Flow & Working Capital Management: Ensure strong cash flow management and optimise working capital.
- Investment & Funding: Assess financing options, manage investor relations, and support fundraising efforts.
- Profitability & Cost Control: Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining healthy margins.
- Risk & Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and mitigate risks linked to European expansion.
- Financial Reporting Standards: Enhance financial reporting processes and standards to support the company's growth across Europe, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with regional regulations.
- Operational Finance Oversight: Lead financial reporting, processes, and best practices.
- Board & Stakeholder Engagement: Present financial insights to the CEO, board, and investors.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking a commercially astute finance leader with experience in scaling B2B businesses, ideally within the SME space.
Key skills and experience:
- Proven track record as a CFO or senior finance professional within an SME.
- Experience in B2B sectors and familiarity with European expansion strategies.
- Strong financial planning, forecasting, and cash flow management skills.
- Expertise in financial reporting, ensuring compliance with UK and European standards.
- Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on financial management.
- Expertise in investment, fundraising, and risk mitigation.
- Excellent stakeholder management and commercial acumen.
- Knowledge of UK financial regulations and European finance considerations.
